Ministries
The ministries of the Worcester United Methodist Church are merely an extension of our spiritual gifts. We learn, grow, teach, and share the gospel of Jesus Christ in as many different ways as there are people He has created. Each of us is a minister, gifted by God to serve Him and his people.
Our Church Ministries
Prayer
Our church believes in the importance and power of prayer. In addition to encouraging personal and group prayer, we also have a Prayer Chain and a Prayer Corner to pray for the concerns of others.
The Pray Chain is for immediate prayer request. Prayer request are kept confidential within a prayer team and are passed around as soon as possible.
The Prayer Corner is a list of prayer concerns listed in the church bulletin, to be remembered and prayed for by all those attending worship services.
Please contact Pastor David at 802-888-1764 if you have a prayer concern. Or email him at pastordavid3@comcast.net
Children
Children’s Ministries mentors children from birth to know, love and follow Jesus Christ and to help their families become committed Christians.
Sunday School
Sunday School is not meeting at this time.
Youth
Our mission is to build a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious students are becoming deeply committed Christians. We accomplish this mission by equipping parents, adults and staff, as well as offering contemporary programs to lead students into a deeply committed faith.
Youth Group/Teen Ministry
Youth Group is is not meeting at this time.
Adults
We’re committed to equipping adults with authentic, challenging education about Christ, His church, and His teachings. Men’s Ministry is dedicated to providing men with pathways for spiritual growth through Christian fellowship, effective discipleship, and mission outreach. Our Women’s Ministry seeks to evangelize, encourage and equip women in their personal walk with Jesus Christ through Christian fellowship, learning and service.
Adult Studies
Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM we gather together in a small group setting to share, learn, fellowship, and grow together as Christians. Through reading and sharing we learn more about ourselves, each other, and the God we serve. This is the essence of community.
United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women is the largest denominational faith organization for women with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice. Members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world. Worcester UMW meets the second Thursday of every month at 1:00 PM.
